The first signs of a mysterious illness.

In August 2024, during a match against Metaloglobus, Luca began experiencing alarming symptoms: overwhelming fatigue, dizziness, and blurred vision. Forced to leave the field, he underwent a series of extensive medical examinations. Despite numerous consultations, no clear diagnosis was reached, plunging the young athlete and his family into constant anxiety.

A rapid and unexplained deterioration.

On February 28, 2025, while with friends at a gas station near Târgoviște, Luca's condition suddenly deteriorated. Suffering from bloody vomiting, he was rushed to the Târgoviște County Hospital. On the way, he called his mother, Ana, confiding his fear of dying. Despite the doctors' swift intervention, Luca succumbed to his condition before his mother could reach him.

The autopsy findings: a rare and tragic outcome.

The autopsy revealed that Luca died from a ruptured aorta, causing massive internal bleeding. This rupture led to a buildup of stomach acid in his lungs, resulting in internal drowning. Doctors also noted a severe lung infection that worsened his condition. These complications, while rare, illustrate the complexity and seriousness of his health problem.
