Born on May 17, 2005, in Târgoviște, Romania, Luca Manolache quickly established himself as a player to watch. After a notable stint at Kinder Târgoviște, he joined the Prosport Academy before signing with FCSB, one of the country's most prestigious clubs. He made his first-division debut on May 22, 2022, in a 3-1 victory against CFR Cluj. To gain experience and playing time, he was then loaned to Chindia Târgoviște and later to Metaloglobus București, where he played in the Romanian second division. On the international stage, he also represented Romania at the U15 to U19 levels, earning 15 official caps.

In August 2024, during a match against Metaloglobus, Luca began experiencing alarming symptoms: overwhelming fatigue, dizziness, and blurred vision. On the way, he called his mother, Ana, confiding his fear of dying. Despite the doctors' swift intervention, Luca succumbed to his condition before his mother could reach him.

The autopsy revealed that Luca died from a ruptured aorta, causing massive internal bleeding. This rupture led to a buildup of stomach acid in his lungs, resulting in internal drowning.
